the re:char concept

re:char empowers subsistence farmers in the developing world to enhance their crop yields and supplement their income while trapping atmospheric carbon and enriching depleted soils!

we think that’s pretty solid.

in nature, carbon is cycled through the atmosphere; all the CO2 plants take in during their lifetime through photosynthesis is returned to the atmosphere as they decompose. this is a CARBON-NEUTRAL process.

re:char has found that by pyrolyzing plant waste before it decomposes, we are able to re-route all that solid carbon into a carbon-rich soil amendment, ensuring that plant carbon does not return to the atmosphere. our process is CARBON-NEGATIVE, meaning that we trap greenhouse gases and reduce the carbon in the atmosphere!
